Alternative Energy

We are looking at alternative energy, a platypus hydro 2kw, 60m head, a 6kw off the grid inverter/charger, 12 2v 900ah VRLA batteries, 6 x 240w crystalline solar panels. I have pics of the controller and specs of the batteries.

Will this work?

We are a family of 4, have large plasma tv and tvs and pcs for the kids in their rooms too, We will be using energy efficient eco bulbs for lighting and using gas for oven/cook top and gas califont for hot water and fire box for heating.

We are building our own place and want to pay someone for installing the gear but everyone is trying to sell us their gear and puts down everybody else's. Please help. I have full specifications of all items but are unable to upload pdf files to the site. Thank you.
