Do rabbits get along with chickens?

by Sandra
(Connecticut, USA)

We have 6 hens living in a beautiful urban garden/coop/run habitat. My daughter wants a pet bunny, and I would prefer NOT to keep it in a small hutch, but let it enjoy the freedom and safety of the hen's enclosure. My hens are gentle breeds: Favorelles, Australorpes, and Brahmas and are not overcrowded.

Does anyone have hens and bunnies together?

MEG: YES, MY DAUGHTER RUNS THEM TOGETHER WITH NO PROBLEMS. THE BUNNIES WILL DIG THOUGH AND MAY END UP AT YOUR NEXT DOOR NEIGHBOUR'S YARD!

Rabbits & chickens
by: Anonymous

I had rabbits in a hutch with a fenced rabbit run (cement bottom). The hutch was opened everyday so they could run around. The chickens (free range) and cats often came to visit them and even went into the rabbit hutch. When all died except one, they were good company for her for two years.

Bunnies and chickens

Just as long as they don't fall in love and want to marry!
THE BUNNIES WILL DIG THOUGH AND MAY END UP AT YOUR NEXT DOOR NEIGHBOUR'S YARD! And, maybe, in their dog's mouth.
Lay chicken wire mesh on the ground around the inside of your fence and they will not dig out.
