Incubation Problem - They Die Half Way!

by Dawn
(Doniphan, USA)

I have been trying to hatch some eggs as an experiment for school.

We had to build the incubator and hatch some chicks.

Every-time I try the eggs stop developing about half way...what am i doing wrong?

Incubation problem

Do you have any ventilation? Gases build up and need a means of escaping.

Temperature is crucial
by: Steven F

Provided you are turning the eggs regularly and keeping water in the incubator to add some humidity my guess is that you don't have enough control over the temperature. Don?t forget that the outside room temperature can influence the temperature inside the incubator. The incubator needs to be housed in a building that is around room temperature. Is you thermometer accurate and is your thermostat sensitive?
