Sick Chickens

I have a sick hen and a sick rooster. They both are having a hard time "talking". The hen is lethargic. Rooster cant crow. I believe they have a respiratory cold. What do I give them. We have received recommendations to give "sulfadimothexine" or "Oxine". Can anyone tell us about this or have any other ideas?
