What's Ailing My Listless Pregnant Cow?

I have a pegnant cow that has been sluggish the past few days. She is eating but not nearly as much, she doesn't come running like usual when i feed her. She's about 5 months along now. Its been unusually hot, temps over 100 for weeks. Thought these could be contributing factors.

If in doubt get a vet
by: Steven French

Hi, I suggest that you get the vet to have a look at her if you are not sure.
Having said that cattle are inclined to laze around and not eat a lot in hot weather. There is a saying that "in hot weather cattle can live on shade and water". I think it takes a bit more than that but there is an element of truth in it.
I am not sure how to explain it but if cattle are not well, well they just don't look well. It is something about there eyes. People are much the same I reckon.
