Will My Hens Mother Day-Olds?

Question

I have three mature hens and i want to bring in days old chicks, are the hens incline to nurture them or will they peck at them and perhaps kill them?

MEG: SOME HENS WILL KILL, OTHERS WILL IGNORE OR PECK THE CHICKS. ONLY HENS THAT HAVE HAD CHICKS INTRODUCED UNDER THEM WHILE BROODY AND THEREFORE BELIEVE THEY HATCHED THEM WILL NUTURE DAY OLDS THAT AREN'T THEIRS
